History
1989 - Dr. Kenneth E. Salyer established a partnership with Medical City Dallas Hospital and created a craniofacial team that provided pro bono care to children with craniofacial abnormalities.
1995 - Dr. Salyer founded the not-for-profit, The World Craniofacial Foundation.
1996 - Media coverage in Parade Magazine brought national interest and increased funding to the WCF organization.
2000 - The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education approved the WCF’s Clinical and Research Fellowship Program.
2002 - The WCF began annual sponsorship of Traveling Fellow Scholars hosted by the American Society of Maxiofacial Surgeons.
2005 – The WCF expanded delivery of support to children across the U.S. and to almost every continent of the globe.
2006 – The WCF created a partnership with the Craniofacial Center at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (University Hospitals of Cleveland / Case Western Reserve University)
