Jeanne Pomatto-Hertz
Ms. Hertz is Founder and CEO of Cranial Technologies, Ltd., the leading provider of medical devices used in the treatment of positional head molding (deformational plagiocephaly) in infants. Founded in 1986, they are the only company in the world dedicated to the treatment of infants with positional plagiocephaly. The DOC Band, which Craniofacial Technologies developed, was the first such device to be cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and is the only device with clinical studies demonstrating safety and effectiveness. In 2004, Jeanne created one-of-a-kind helmets for the separated Egyptian twins, to protect their heads while they waited for skull reconstruction surgeries.
Jeanne has been an invited presenter at over 60 regional, national and international meetings of craniofacial, plastic and neurological surgeons. She has co-authored 24 research papers and holds 14 patents and trademarks. In 1998 she was chosen as Innovator of the Year, followed by Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999.
