Dr. Arun K. Gosain joined the staff at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in the fall of 2006.  Prior to joining the medical staff at Rainbow, Dr. Gosain served as Chief of the Section of Plastic Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.  While in Wisconsin, he established one of the largest pediatric plastic surgery practices in the Midwest.

Dr. Gosain is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Princeton University and attended medical school at the UCLA School of Medicine.  Dr. Gosain completed residencies in general surgery and in plastic surgery at the University of California Hospitals, the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey Affiliated Hospitals, and the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He did his fellowship training in hand/microsurgery and in craniofacial surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gosain is currently a Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.  He previously held several academic appointments with the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Gosain is also a member of the International Society of Craniofacial Surgery, World Craniofacial Foundation, American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Plastic Surgery, American Association of Plastic Surgeons, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, American Society of Craniofacial Surgery, American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and many other professional organizations.

Dr. Gosain has served as the principal investigator on numerous research projects and grants, and he has authored countless journal articles, book chapters, reviews and original papers.  He is on the editorial board for the Maxillofacial Newsletter of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
