Support the World Craniofacial
Foundation at the Butterfly Boogie! The race enables the Foundation to provide for craniofacial treatment and help with secondary costs, resources for families, and continuing education for physicians, plus crucial, hands on surgical training for young doctors. 8:30am – 5K and 10K Race
The 5K and 10K races share the same start time (8:30am) and starting line in Reverchon Park. The course will take runners through the beautiful settings of Turtle Creek and the Katy Trail. The races will begin and end at Reverchon Park. Both races are certified and sactioned by USA Track & Field.
8:30am – 5K Competitive Walk
The 5K Competitive Walk is a new race aded for 2009. The race begins at the same times as the 5K and 10K (8:30am) and runs along the same course as the 5K run. There will be medals awarded to the top 3 winners – male and female.
8:00am – Butterfly Buggie Boogie 1 Mile Fun Run/ Walk
The Butterfly Buggie Boogie is a 1-mile fun run/walk for everyone. Strollers and animals are allowed. The race will begin at 8:00am, so the 5K/10K runners may also participate in the Buggy Boogie. Each participant will receive a Butterfly Boogie Mylar balloon “medal”.
D-tag Timing
The D-tag Timing System records your race time precisely from start to finish. Participants must wear a chip in order to be timed. Disposable Chips will be attached to your bib at packet pickup. When registering, you have the option to specify whether or not you want to be chip timed.
Awards
Cash prizes awarded to the top three male & femal finishers in the 5K & 10K. Winners will be determined by gun time.

3rd Prize: $100
Custom-crafted medals will be awarded to the top three male & female finishers in each age group in the 5K/10K. Age groups are 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24 & every 5-year age group up to 80+. Winners will be determined by chip time.
Medals will be awarded to the top 10 male & female runners for the 5k Competitive Walk.
Corporate Teams
Organizing a corporate team is a great way for your corporation to join in the World Craniofacial Foundation’s fight to transform children’s lives. Team leaders may fax their team member names to Luke’s Locker at 214.443.9206 in advance, so their packets can be prepared before pick up. Corporate teams receive a $5 discount on all race entries!
