At the age of one, Dulce traveled from her tiny village in Mexico to Corpus Christi, Texas, for the first of two procedures to correct her bilateral cleft lip. Dr. Kevin Hopkins of Driscoll Children’s Hospital repaired the right side of her lip in March 2009, and the left side in July. The pictures show her before and after her first surgery. We can’t wait to see what she looks like after the second stage procedure!
